GP at top-tier VC firm faces moment of truth after getting green card

7:02 / 7:43

That was a great run, became a partner in a year and a half, became a GP in five years. By the time I was leaving, I was one of the eight senior partners and all of that. But then got my green card around the same time I became a GP and this is where you and I had met. And that for me, as soon as the green card came, the moment of truth was there, which is I've told the story of my life to myself that one day I'll start something. And, and, you know, it was a tough decision rationally because in VC, you dream of a career where you become a GP at a firm like Lightspeed. Right? It's the top tier firm and all of that. And I really enjoyed it personally. I you know, I love my stint there and still have amazing relationships with the entire firm.
